The movie shows the story of a police man Dharam who is honest, and fulfills his responsibility as a police officer very well. He is behind an underworld don Durga Prasad also known as "DP". But DP is also very cunning and notorious as well. he lays many traps and false evidences that catches Dharam and is arrested for a murder case. What happens then? Is he able to get out and prove himself pure? How DP stops him? It is the story. All in all the movie is good. Bullet songs are also very nice.

The movie Bhagwaan Dada is a cool story of a simple guy who is helped by a gangster and is attracted towards a prostitute. What is ironical is that he doesn't knows true identity of both.He doesn't know any thing about the gangster nor the women.The story takes a turn when he comes to know about it.What he will do then? Will that guy move back to village? Or he will stay to survive in the Mumbai which proves a very tough city for simple and sober man.All in all eh movie is good and you will enjoy watching it.

Movie Review:

The movie is about friendship, destiny how a man who fights cases to save the criminal clients suffers when it comes upon him.How a younger brother sneaks out the criminals of his elder brother.

The movie starts by showing Jayant who is a prominent criminal lawyer and live with his wife wife and sister.He has a best friend who is a police inspector named Amit Gupta.Amit many times advice Jayant to be safe while fighting the case of criminals who are repeated offenders but Jayant says that he just thinks of doing his work and that is to save his client to best of his ability.But unfortunately one day Amit dies in a car accident.After some time Amit's younger brother Vijay joins Police force.He is given the case to analyze the death of his elder brother whether it was really an accident or not.He then identifies that his brother's death was a pre planned execution by a gangster.So, he arrests the son of Mulchand Malhotra.And the after some days Jayant's wife and his sister are brutally raped.His wife could bear it and dies.What happens next?Will Jayant take the revenge?How Vijay will help him? It is the story.

Anand Ashram 1977: Songs And Review

Anand Ashram was directed by Shakti Samanta in the year 1977.

Star Cast:

The movie stars Uttam Kumar, Sharmila Tagore, Rakesh Roshan, Ashok Kumar and Moushumi Chatterjee in lead roles. Other supporting star cast includes Asit Sen, Utpal Dutt, Prema Narayan and Alankar Joshi in various important roles.

Movie Review:

This old hindi bollywood is a family drama film about Deepak. Story starts with Dr. Deepak (Uttam Kumar) who lives a wealthy lifestyle in a small town alongwith his father (Ashok Kumar) who is a Thakur. One day Deepak sees a gorgeous woman named Asha (Sharmila Tagore) who comes froma a very poor family. He falls in love with her and wants to marry her. When his father comes to know that Deepak loves Asha who is a poor girl and not for his type, he refuses for their marriage and would like to get Deepak to marry a woman from an equally wealthy family. But Deepak stands with his love which displeases Thakur. He asks Deepak to leave his house, never to return. After a few months his employee named Girdhari (Asit Sen) finds an abandoned child named Pratap, by the river bank. He would like to adopt him and therefore he asks Thakur.

Thakur does not want anything to do with the child first but when he sees him for the first time, he agrees with Girdhari. After many years later Pratap (Rakesh Roshan) has also grown up and travels abroad to study in order to be a doctor. After that he returns and decides to work with a chemical company. Later he meets with a beautiful woman named Kiran (Moushumi Chatterjee), her father (Utpal Dutt) and an elderly man named Doctor. Pratap is disturbed after meeting doctor as he seems to know him very well. Doctor wants him to leave his job at the chemical company and start practicing medicine in the small town where they live. Nobody knows that the doctor whose real name is Deepak, is his biological father.And thus story goes. Overall, movie is nice and enjoyable.It did well at Box office.

Music And Singers:

Music of the movie is composed by Shyamal Mitra. Songs are sung in beautiful voices of Asha Bhosle, Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar and K.J. Yesudas who gave their soulful voice to the songs.

Movie review:

This hindi bollywood movie is family drama film with spice of love.It is a perfect romantic movie that revolves around the life of an emerging young singer Rohit Kumar ( Aamir Khan ), he wants to reach the top of the music industry. One day a beautiful girl Kiran ( Manisha Koirala ) came across Rohit, after hearing his songs she became a big fan of his. She approached him to get trained in his genre of singing and Rohit happily agreed to this. Both started rehearsing together they never realized that they had started liking each other. Soon both were in deep love with each other. They decided to tie the knot of marriage.But Kiran’s parents never approved this relation as they don’t want her to marry him. So Kiran despised her family and started living separately with Rohit, they got married and soon they got a baby. As Kiran gets more and more confined to the household activities, she started feeling that she is being suppressed by Rohit and hence she leaved him along with their child. Now the whole responsibility of raising their child comes on Rohit alone. soon Kiran became a star actress and on the top of success ladder now she feels lonely and abandoned. Rohit would not allow her back in his life.And thus the story eludes. Movie is nice and interesting. Even contribution by Aamir Khan made it more cheerful. Overall, the movie is worth watching.

Music of the movie is given by Anu Malik. Songs are sung well by Udit Narayan, Aamir Khan, Shankar Mahadevan, Aditya Narayan, Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik.

TOP 10 HINDI FILM MAKERS OF THE DECADE

Happy New Year, Hindi Cinema buffs!

As cyberspace gets piled up with "Best 10, 20, 75 or 100 Bollywood films of the decade" lists, the Hindi Cinema Blog has opted for a more personal approach by establishing our list of the TOP 10 FILM MAKERS of Hindi cinema in the last decade. From 2000 to 2010 some of the highest achieving film makers indeed delighted us and we wish to remember them as a new decade opens, hoping that they will continue to make us laugh, cry, jump in our seats and nurture our Hindi film addiction.

Vishal Bhardwaj

Even if this list has been established in no particular order of achievement, Vishal Bhardwaj is still featured at the top for making audiences meet a different type of Indian cinema through his involvement in internationally acclaimed films such as 'Omkara' and 'Ishqiya' (producer) or a widely applauded film by Indian audiences: 'Kaminey'. Vishal also has high reaching musical talent and is known to be an appreciated actor. He seems like an art and cinema powerhouse and we therefore thought he deserved first mention.

Rajkumar Hirani

The man behind the deep and cheerfully humourous 'Munna Bhai MBBS' and 'Lage Raho Munna Bhai' seemingly has a permanent genial muse following him around wherever he goes - some even wonder if Raj Kapoor has not been whispering him film secrets in the ear! He struck gold with a memorable '3 Idiots' in 2009 and audiences are keen to know what values will be skillfully and lightly put across in his next Munna bhai adventure.

Aamir Khan

The Hindi film industry has never been the same since this ace started challenging it continuously. After acting in several stupendous films in previous decades ('Qayamat se Qayamant tak', 'Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin', 'Sarfarosh', 'JJWS'...), Aamir Khan wooed Indian audiences towards what they were never supposed to have liked in the first place: by producing 'Lagaan', aka a film about Indian villagers playing cricket or directing 'Taare Zameen Par', a film about childhood education with no romance or item numbers! Having won this bet hands down, he proceeded to bring back Mansoor Khan (hurrah!) in order to help cook up the fresh and sweet 'Jaane Tu ya Jaane Na' and then turned into a masala hero with a Tamil style 'Ghajini'. The man who navigates the Hindi film world's pulse with bravado has continued venturing into surprising projects such as producing 'Peepli Live' and 'Dhobi Ghat'.

Yash Chopra

Though sections of the audience have started feeling a bit blasé about certain Yash Raj banner films, we believe the sole 'Veer-Zaara' tale is capable of zooming them up to this top ten list. After having seen filmgoers in various countries watch 'Veer-Zaara' and come out of the cinema with tears in their eyes, exclaiming "what a film!", we believe this film is one of the surest ways to convert an indie or world movie lover to the vast world of classic Hindi cinema. Huge thumbs up!

Anurag Kashyap

Another film maker who keeps pushing the envelope both in the way he directs and in relation to the subjects or narrative style he chooses is Anurag Kashyap. He stirred audiences with 'Dev D' and 'That Girl in Yellow Boots' and wrote the story behind acclaimed 2010 film 'Udaan'. Kashyap sometimes seems like the "enfant terrible" of the Hindi film industry for "showing it as it is" through his storytelling style. International audiences have come to acknowledge his attempts at incorporating groundbreaking realism to Indian cinema.

Karan Johar

Starry eyed Karan Johar and his company, Dharma Productions, were behind some of the decade's greatest hits or most entertaining film proposals. From the Shah Rukh Khan classic, 'Kal Ho Naa Ho', penned by him and directed by Nikhil Advani, to a most recent 'Wake Up Sid' and 'Kurbaan', Karan Johar has a Midas touch for emotionally grand stories. Though we were in a bit of two minds about 'My Name is Khan' and 'We are Family' we are expecting that Johar will be serving more efficient heart tugging stories soon.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali

One either loves or hates his style. Nevertheless, he is undisputably one of India's most iconic film makers. The man pulls off films that carry rich imagery and enchanting decors in any type of story. Harshly criticized by several of his peers, Bhansali is still the man who wowed Cannes audiences with Madhuri's and Aishwarya's beauty in 'Devdas', thereby introducing many foreign audiences to Indian cinema.

His latest 'Guzaarish' is also to be watched as much for an interesting plot than for admiring Goa's colonial architecture. Is it a Bhansali film? Sit down, relax and enjoy the visual ride.

Ronnie Screwvala

Even though he may not be considered a film maker per se, the main man of UTV productions handles a company whose instinct has been changing the panorama of Hindi cinema consistently during the last decade by serving audiences several valuable off-the-beaten-path or niche films: 'Aamir', 'A Wednesday', 'Peepli Live', 'Road, Movie', 'Life in a Metro' or the more popular 'Rang de Basanti'... speaking of which...

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra

Mehra is in our personal top ten list mainly for 'Rang de Basanti' and for the animated fresco he offered audiences with 'Delhi 6' which, even if it did not garner box office success, is still a film with an interesting statement and beautiful visuals worth viewing if you want to see Delhi through a gifted man's eyes. Mehra is involved in environmental movements and yours truly would love a film on that subject by him if one could throw wishes to the air and watch them come true.

Rakesh Roshan

Roshan has enchanted audiences during this past decade, including anyone from children to seniors, with the 'Koi Mil Gaya' and 'Krrish' saga. The magic of this fantasy tale suited to young and old provided a rollicking good time and is nestled in the hearts of many.

Runners up to this list were Farhan Akhtar for a very fresh 'Dil Chahta Hai' and his stylish remake of 'Don', as well as Ram Gopal Varma for his dark 'Sarkar'. And last but not least, a personal favorite, Kamal Hassan, should be mentioned for contributing a very valuable story to the Hindi film landscape by impressively filming, scripting and acting in 'Hey Ram'.

KITES may fail to impress international audiences

Beautiful looking starrers (Greek god Hrithik Roshan and Uruguayan princess Barbara Mori) and a good-looking supporting cast (Kabir Bedi, Kangna Ranaut), lots of action, a bit of imaginary chilli pepper sprinkled here in the form of Mexican "andele, andele!" and another dash of luxury or US Western locations there and you've got a mindblowing worlwide hit, right?

Well... Sorry to say... No.

'Kites' is likely to be a let down, particularly for Latin American and American audiences who will likely be fed a film that does not really take the trouble to appeal to their cultural sensitivity. A film that focuses on Hrithik Roshan but fails to duly bring forward his talent by an evident lack of script/story will certainly make ladies drool and men make summer resolutions to hit the gym but possibly not much else.

While 'Kites' has an underlying subject that could have been beautifully used to craft a good film, the script falls short of the brilliant idea of filming an international romance between a gorgeous couple from two fascinating different cultures. While cinematography is good in various sequences, the word "unnecessary" certainly comes to mind during some hero-centric frames or several unessential film situations. The extremely wicked villain, nonetheless well enacted by Nicholas Brown, might also not go down well with audiences who are open to foreign cinema but prefer a bit more subtlety in their film plate.

Strangely enough, one of the most hyped pre-release sequences - a salsa dance featuring the jaw-drop-worthy pair - has reportedly been deleted, thus taking away probably one of the scenes that would have succeeded in successfully reeling in Latino audiences, making them feel that they were being shown in a cool and appealing light, an asset that the film is cruelly lacking. On second thought, the 'Kites' soundtrack offers such a poor example of pseudo-Latin rythms that the salsa sequence would probably not have worked. It is a pity that with such a large budget, production would not have tapped more gleefully into the fantastic array of musical talent available in Latin America.

It is unfortunately not enough to show a doll-like Barbara and an Indian hunk onscreen to attract non-Indian audiences to the cinema. Therefore, my feeling is that the film is less meant for international audiences and more likely to be a success among Hrithik Roshan fans. Barbara (Natasha) may say “Main ullu ki patthi hoon” with her charming Mexican accent to express her love to her Romeo but international audiences are more likely to express their feelings to Rakesh Roshan and Anurag Basu by asking "What's the point?".
