Chhaya is counted under the genre of music and romance. The movie has an interesting story. It is a mixture of two stories, one is the case of love and difference in the financial status of lovers and other is of adopted child. The father comes to know that her daughter is not his and that her caste, religion and family are not known. Both the critical situations catch the viewers interest and affect the emotions. Overall, the movie is good and is counted among the best movies of 1960's. Chhaya songs are also very pleasant to hear.
